Walking West Spirits Company is built on our founder’s love of experimenting with traditional and modern methods.  Taking a classic and making it fresh.  She wanted to create a blended whiskey that was similar to a blended Scotch but using American malt whiskey that is aged on the Pacific coastal region of Southern California.  To harness the rugged spirit of the West and tame it into a cool, coastal sip.

First, aged single malt whiskey is selected from a few complimentary distilleries and blended by our team to create an already delicious drink. But then, we age it further in charred oak barrels from the western USA that are housed in Ventura County, CA for a minimum of 2 years.  The exposure to our mild Pacific Ocean winters and warm languid summers create magic in the barrels and the result is a liquid that has dark caramel, roasted marshmallow, subtle smoke, desert sage, and marine notes.  Reminiscent of an evening at the beach by a bonfire.
